Coolant and your engine.
The cooling system of any vehicle is by far the most important part of the whole machine. It is a truth that in between 60 and 80% of engine and transmission failures are brought on by cooling system “breakdowns”. This has been an enormous cost to equipment owners and $1.5 billion dollars annually is credited to this failure across Australia.
This is an enormous amount of money considering the truth that it could be lowered significantly (probably by 75%) by the setup of the appropriate cooling system products.
FluidMasters ongoing dedication is to offer the best cooling system products that can be produced. The products FluidMasters market were established by the School of Chemical Engineering at the Western Australian Institute of Innovation (Curtin University) in the early 1980’s by Dr Richie and his team established a protectorate in addition to a flushing product.
FluidMasters have been marketing these products to their client base since 1982 and because time the two most common and most destructive issues facing the operator as far as the cooling system is worried are “Cavitation Disintegration” (Pit holes that drill through the cylinder liners) and “Electrolysis” (the damage of alloys, i.e. cylinder heads etc). These two major issues have ended up being a thing of the past for our clients with not one circumstances being recorded in over 26 years.
The design of cooling systems today is as it was in Henry Ford’s time, with really little changes. Water, a radiator and radiator hoses, fan belts, a radiator cap, and a water pump.
In engines today it is essential to protect complex alloy heads and multi valve systems. An alloy head goes through “electrolysis”, the breaking down of alloy by electrical action of the engine. It is as though the engine is one huge “battery”. An alloy head can cost anywhere from $1000.00 to $6000.00.
Scary thought but a truth, and still they go vulnerable as owners take the advice of the repairer or the garage owner who offers them the incorrect or insufficient product for their equipment’s cooling systems. Remember, the seller typically has little knowledge of the products he is offering.
So, why is it that FluidMasters can encourage you on the appropriate products for this security? Due to the fact that, we make our products to perform as required by the manufacturer. Sadly however, A LOT OF the OEM engines cooling system security just DO NOT WORK, or stop working before the specified time of security is reached.
Diesel Engine makers have increased engine operating temperatures to improve engine performance. This means proper cooling system maintenance is especially important. Getting too hot, overcooling, pitting, cavitation, disintegration, split heads, piston seizures, and plugged radiators are timeless cooling system failures.

Correct coolant choice and maintenance of the system is the owner’s choice and the best coolant is crucial to effective engine life span. In fact, coolant is just as important as the quality of your fuel or lubricating oil.
FluidMasters provides cooling system preventative maintenance products and services to help you avoid the down-time & pricey impacts of coolant-related engine/ transmission failures.
Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser and your engine.
Only extract fuels that satisfy required specifications will lead to optimal engine efficiency and sturdiness. All equipment and machinery operators require clean safe fuel if their machinery is to give maximum efficiency.
Fuel residential or commercial properties and quality have a huge effect on engine operation. Contamination typically is introduced during fuel handling, that is, transfer from the refinery to its final storage location could mean many fuel transfers and therefore more opportunities of contamination.
Fuel quality can considerably impact the efficiency and maintenance of any diesel or petrol engine. Water can cause excessive sludge and also cause fuel pump damage in those fuel systems which use fuel oil to lubricate the pump.
Salt water is the greatest single source of fouling deposits and rust, especially in high temperature locations of marine engines. Salt water can cause fuel injector and piston ring groove deposits and wear in fuel system plunger and barrel assemblies.
Gen XI removes water from fuel, fuel tanks, fuel lines and retards fungal development. The presence of water from condensation, seal leakage, etc can accelerate the destruction of the fuel, especially if high sulphur levels are present. In diesel, water enables microbe development (eg: Hormoconis resinae and Cladisporium resinae). These “diesel bugs” eat the fuel and propagate in the water and this causes fuel destruction and filter/injector clogs.
Gen XI in fact rids the system of water by encapsulating the water which in turn is focused into tiny microscopic droplets through the special chemicals in Gen XI. These droplets are then held in suspension within the fuel, carried through the engines filter system and fuel pump where it is exhausted to the environment as oxygen and hydrogen gasses. As well, any sulphur products are also encapsulated therefore preventing sulphurous acid damage to engine component parts. By neutralising the sulphur content of fuel, Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser will get rid of fuel issues and accomplish much better burn, amount to combustion, less emissions and greater efficiency.
The product also consists of cleaning agent dispersant factors to not only clean but completely disperse with an arrangement of fluid suspension factors.
Fuel consisting of Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser will stay high quality, appropriate viscosity, sulphur managed and safe storage for extended periods. FluidMasters have centers such as banks and Healthcare facilities with extract in their emergency generators that have been in these units for over twenty years. This also offers the operator an opportunity to store fuel for extended periods and therefore “hedge” versus rising fuel costs. For long storage of fuel, we recommend that the Gen XI product be utilized at a mix rate of 30% more than recommended for typical use.

Pristine fuel is necessary for the well-being of your machinery. Western Australian-made Microlube fuel filters offer 100% performance at 1-micron rating. That’s as close to ideal as you are going to get. Bowser or fuel-tank fitting is typical with circulation rates of 100 or 150 litres per minute being basic. Including a washable filter, they are extremely efficient and cost-effective.
Microlube Filters.
Microlube Filters (distributed by FluidMasters) are a series of cost-effective, low-micron filters for the optimal elimination of suspended particles and general contaminates in industrial fluids and fuel. When utilized as a primary filter on a diesel setup it guarantees optimal fuel condition and regularly gets rid of pricey secondary filter blockage.
Microlube’s innovative fuel purification systems are discovering increasing approval among mining and earthmoving contractors, transportation & oilfield operators, farmers and marine equipment owners.
Prevent damage to fuel pumps and injectors from small particles.
Microlube has developed a series of quality filter-systems which are designed to get rid of fungal debris, suspended particles, drop-out in diesel fuels and other particles such as sand, dust, sludge and excess water. The filters get rid of contaminants as small as one micron, using polyester needle-felt filter socks. Polyester needle felt is the most common product utilized for these bags and is readily available in micron rankings of 1, 5, 100 and 150.
Microlube Technical Specifications.
Filtered contaminants are contained in the filter sock and eliminate the possibility of contamination, common with cartridge-type filters, (as per graphic listed below) which leave contaminants in the filter housing.
How to select a Microlube filter.
1. Select the unit size based on the circulation rate adjusted for the viscosity of the fluid to be filtered.
2. Select the micron rating of the bag to be fitted.
3. Select Port Position.
4. Select the model # – eg filter 100L/min of diesel to 1 micron with basic port, select model MFH 100.
Air Systems.
FluidMasters do not have specific products for a machines air system, as there are no fluids involved, but it is necessary to note that: Diesel and petrol engines absorb literally hundreds of square meters of air to every litre of fuel burnt.
Tidy air filters lead to a more efficiently operating engine, resulting in less effect on the environment. Lower costs are also the outcome of an efficient air system, not to mention less downtime and loss of profits.
