There are four areas to be cared for and handled. All of these areas need to be taken care of as recommended in all producer’s equipment handbooks/manuals.
Services and products.
Oil- Picking the best viscocity.
The most essential element of using the best oil for your equipment is to select the right oil viscosity. The directions for choosing the best oil for your equipment and equipment are detailed in your producer’s handbook/manual. If this is not available then use the Spec Charts listed below to select the right oil viscosity:.
American Petroleum Institute (API) Requirements.
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Charts.

Coolant and your engine.
The cooling system of any car is without a doubt the most essential component of the entire machine. It is a reality that in between 60 and 80% of engine and transmission failures are brought on by cooling system “malfunctions”. This has been an enormous cost to equipment owners and $1.5 billion dollars yearly is credited to this failure across Australia.
This is an enormous amount of money considering the truth that it could be lowered drastically (most likely by 75%) by the setup of the right cooling system products.
FluidMasters continuous dedication is to offer the absolute best cooling system products that can be produced. The products FluidMasters market were developed by the School of Chemical Engineering at the Western Australian Institute of Technology (Curtin University) in the early 1980’s by Dr Richie and his team developed a protectorate along with a flushing product.
FluidMasters have been marketing these products to their customer base since 1982 and in that time the two most common and most devastating issues facing the operator as far as the cooling system is worried are “Cavitation Disintegration” (Pit holes that drill through the cylinder liners) and “Electrolysis” (the damage of alloys, i.e. cylinder heads etc). These two significant issues have ended up being a distant memory for our customers with not one instance being tape-recorded in over 26 years.
The design of cooling systems today is as it remained in Henry Ford’s time, with very little modifications. Water, a radiator and radiator hoses, fan belts, a radiator cap, and a water pump.
In engines today it is necessary to secure complex alloy heads and multi valve systems. An alloy head goes through “electrolysis”, the disintegrating of alloy by electrical action of the engine. It is as though the engine is one big “battery”. An alloy head can cost anywhere from $1000.00 to $6000.00.
Scary idea but a truth, and still they go unprotected as owners take the guidance of the repairer or the garage owner who offers them the incorrect or insufficient product for their equipment’s cooling systems. Remember, the merchant usually has little knowledge of the products he is selling.
So, why is it that FluidMasters can encourage you on the right products for this security? Due to the fact that, we produce our products to carry out as required by the producer. Regretfully however, A LOT OF the OEM engines cooling system security just DO NOT WORK, or fail before the stated time of security is reached.
Diesel Engine producers have increased engine operating temperature levels to improve engine efficiency. This means proper cooling system maintenance is specifically essential. Overheating, overcooling, pitting, cavitation, erosion, split heads, piston seizures, and plugged radiators are classic cooling system failures.
Appropriate coolant choice and maintenance of the system is the owner’s choice and the best coolant is important to effective engine service life. In fact, coolant is just as essential as the quality of your fuel or lubricating oil.
FluidMasters offers cooling system preventative maintenance products and services to assist you avoid the down-time & costly effects of coolant-related engine/ transmission failures.
Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser and your engine.
Only extract fuels that fulfill required specifications will result in optimal engine efficiency and toughness. All equipment and equipment operators require tidy safe fuel if their equipment is to give maximum efficiency.
Fuel homes and quality have an enormous impact on engine operation. Contamination usually is introduced during fuel handling, that is, transfer from the refinery to its last storage destination might mean many fuel transfers and therefore more possibilities of contamination.
Fuel quality can substantially impact the efficiency and maintenance of any diesel or fuel engine. Water can trigger excessive sludge and also trigger fuel pump damage in those fuel systems which use fuel oil to oil the pump.
Seawater is the greatest single source of fouling deposits and corrosion, specifically in heat areas of marine engines. Seawater can trigger fuel injector and piston ring groove deposits and wear in fuel system plunger and barrel assemblies.
Gen XI gets rid of water from fuel, fuel tanks, fuel lines and retards fungal growth. The presence of water from condensation, seal leak, etc can speed up the destruction of the fuel, specifically if high sulphur levels exist. In diesel, water allows microbe growth (eg: Hormoconis resinae and Cladisporium resinae). These “diesel bugs” feed upon the fuel and propagate in the water and this causes fuel destruction and filter/injector blockages.
Gen XI really rids the system of water by encapsulating the water which in turn is focused into tiny microscopic droplets through the unique chemicals in Gen XI. These droplets are then held in suspension within the fuel, finished the engines filter system and fuel pump where it is tired to the environment as oxygen and hydrogen gasses. Also, any sulphur products are also encapsulated therefore preventing sulphurous acid damage to engine part. By neutralising the sulphur content of fuel, Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser will overcome fuel issues and achieve better burn, amount to combustion, less emissions and higher efficiency.
The product also includes cleaning agent dispersant aspects to not only tidy but completely distribute with an arrangement of fluid suspension aspects.
Fuel containing Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser will remain high quality, right viscosity, sulphur controlled and safe storage for extended periods. FluidMasters have facilities such as banks and Medical facilities with extract in their emergency generators that have been in these units for over 20 years. This also gives the operator an opportunity to store fuel for extended periods and therefore “hedge” against increasing fuel costs. For long storage of fuel, we recommend that the Gen XI product be used at a mix rate of 30% more than recommended for regular use.
Pristine fuel is crucial for the wellness of your equipment. Western Australian-made Microlube fuel filters offer 100% efficiency at 1-micron rating. That’s as near to perfect as you are going to get. Bowser or fuel-tank fitting is regular with circulation rates of 100 or 150 litres per minute being standard. Containing a washable filter, they are very effective and economical.
Microlube Filters (dispersed by FluidMasters) are a range of economical, low-micron filters for the optimal elimination of suspended particles and basic contaminates in commercial fluids and fuel. When used as a main filter on a diesel setup it makes sure optimal fuel condition and often eliminates costly secondary filter obstruction.
Microlube’s ingenious fuel purification systems are discovering increasing approval among mining and earthmoving contractors, transportation & oilfield operators, farmers and marine equipment owners.
Avoid damage to fuel pumps and injectors from small particles.
Microlube has built a range of quality filter-systems which are designed to remove fungal debris, suspended particles, drop-out in diesel fuels and other particles such as sand, dust, sludge and excess water. The filters remove contaminants as small as one micron, utilizing polyester needle-felt filter socks. Polyester needle felt is the most common product used for these bags and is available in micron rankings of 1, 5, 100 and 150.
Microlube Technical Specifications.
Filtered contaminants are included in the filter sock and get rid of the opportunity of contamination, common with cartridge-type filters, (according to graphic listed below) which leave contaminants in the filter real estate.
How to select a Microlube filter.
1. Select the unit size based upon the circulation rate adjusted for the viscosity of the fluid to be filtered.
2. Select the micron rating of the bag to be fitted.
3. Select Port Position.
4. Select the model # – eg filter 100L/min of diesel to 1 micron with standard port, select model MFH 100.
FluidMasters do not have specific products for a machines air system, as there are no fluids involved, but it is crucial to note that: Diesel and fuel engines digest literally hundreds of square meters of air to every litre of fuel burnt.
Clean air filters result in a more effectively operating engine, resulting in less impact on the environment. Lower costs are also the result of an effective air system, not to mention less downtime and loss of revenues.
