This is where FluidMasters have the products and services to help you achieve this objective.
FluidMasters have engaged worldwide industrial chemists to develop their products. Through comprehensive laboratory screening they have formulated fluid management products that are a vast improvement on existing competitive products in the market place.
In February 1988 these products were presented to farmers and after achieving exceptional results the company expanded its offerings to other industry groups that include marine and transportation. As time has passed and innovation enhanced, ongoing research has seen these products improved and enhanced to where they are thought about by the company to be of the highest performance that present science is able to produce.
There are four areas to be looked after and managed. All of these areas need to be taken care of as recommended in all manufacturer’s equipment handbooks/manuals.
Products and Services.
Oil- Selecting the best viscocity.
The most essential element of using the best oil for your machinery is to select the appropriate oil viscosity. The guidelines for choosing the best oil for your machinery and equipment are detailed in your manufacturer’s handbook/manual. If this is not available then use the Requirements Charts below to select the appropriate oil viscosity:.
American Petroleum Institute (API) Requirements.
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Charts.
If in doubt then please contact FluidMasters on 1300 302 949 and we will help you to pick the best oil for your equipment.
Our Oil System maintenance products include:.
8-30 Multifunctional Oil Supplement – Increases performance life of older gas and diesel engines (Pre CJ4 oils), gear trains, transmission, last drive engine oils, differentials, lowers wear and corrosion, neutralises acids, prevents oxidation of oil, extends oil drain periods. NOTE: To be utilized in conjunction with engine oils before CJ4 basic ONLY.
Oil Flushing Concentrate – Specially formulated blend of penetrates, lubes and sludge dispersants created for use in all gas and diesel engines, gear trains, transmission, last drive differentials.
In addition we recommend and sell:.
ProtxL Oil Management System– Bypass Oil Filter.
CONOCO Oils and Lubes.
The best oils and lubes with the best filtering systems means the best possible security for your equipment.
Coolant and your engine.
The cooling system of any vehicle is by far the most essential component of the whole machine. It is a reality that in between 60 and 80% of engine and transmission failures are caused by cooling system “breakdowns”. This has been an enormous cost to equipment owners and $1.5 billion dollars each year is credited to this failure throughout Australia.
This is an enormous amount of cash considering the fact that it could be minimized significantly (probably by 75%) by the installation of the appropriate cooling system products.
FluidMasters ongoing commitment is to offer the best cooling system products that can be produced. The products FluidMasters market were developed by the School of Chemical Engineering at the Western Australian Institute of Technology (Curtin University) in the early 1980’s by Dr Richie and his team developed a protectorate in addition to a flushing product.
FluidMasters have been marketing these products to their customer base considering that 1982 and in that time the two most common and most destructive problems challenging the operator as far as the cooling system is worried are “Cavitation Disintegration” (Pit holes that drill through the cylinder liners) and “Electrolysis” (the damage of alloys, i.e. cylinder heads etc). These two significant problems have become a thing of the past for our customers with not one instance being taped in over 26 years.
The design of cooling systems today is as it was in Henry Ford’s time, with very little modifications. Water, a radiator and radiator tubes, fan belts, a radiator cap, and a water pump.
In engines today it is important to secure complicated alloy heads and multi valve systems. An alloy head is subjected to “electrolysis”, the disintegrating of alloy by electrical action of the engine. It is as though the engine is one huge “battery”. An alloy head can cost anywhere from $1000.00 to $6000.00.
Frightening idea but a reality, and still they go vulnerable as owners take the suggestions of the repairer or the garage owner who sells them the inaccurate or insufficient product for their equipment’s cooling systems. Keep in mind, the retailer normally has little understanding of the products he is selling.
So, why is it that FluidMasters can advise you on the appropriate products for this security? Because, we manufacture our products to carry out as needed by the manufacturer. Sadly though, A NUMBER OF the OEM engines cooling system security just DO NOT WORK, or fail before the stated time of security is reached.
Diesel Engine producers have increased engine operating temperature levels to improve engine efficiency. This means correct cooling system maintenance is particularly essential. Overheating, overcooling, pitting, cavitation, disintegration, split heads, piston seizures, and plugged radiators are timeless cooling system failures.
Correct coolant selection and maintenance of the system is the owner’s choice and the best coolant is crucial to successful engine life span. In fact, coolant is just as essential as the quality of your fuel or lubricating oil.
FluidMasters provides cooling system preventative maintenance products and services to help you prevent the down-time & expensive effects of coolant-related engine/ transmission failures.
Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser and your engine.
Only extract fuels that meet needed specifications will result in maximum engine performance and sturdiness. All equipment and machinery operators need clean safe fuel if their machinery is to offer maximum performance.
Fuel homes and quality have a massive impact on engine operation. Contamination normally is presented during fuel handling, that is, transfer from the refinery to its last storage destination might mean many fuel transfers and therefore more opportunities of contamination.
Fuel quality can substantially impact the performance and maintenance of any diesel or gas engine. Water can trigger excessive sludge and also trigger fuel pump damage in those fuel systems which use fuel oil to oil the pump.
Salt water is the greatest single source of fouling deposits and corrosion, particularly in heat areas of marine engines. Salt water can trigger fuel injector and piston ring groove deposits and wear in fuel system plunger and barrel assemblies.
Gen XI eliminates water from fuel, fuel tanks, fuel lines and retards fungal growth. The existence of water from condensation, seal leakage, etc can speed up the destruction of the fuel, particularly if high sulphur levels exist. In diesel, water enables microbe growth (eg: Hormoconis resinae and Cladisporium resinae). These “diesel bugs” eat the fuel and propagate in the water and this causes fuel destruction and filter/injector clogs.
Gen XI in fact rids the system of water by encapsulating the water which in turn is focused into small microscopic beads through the special chemicals in Gen XI. These beads are then held in suspension within the fuel, carried through the engines filter system and fuel pump where it is tired to the atmosphere as oxygen and hydrogen gasses. Also, any sulphur products are also encapsulated thus avoiding sulphurous acid damage to engine part. By neutralising the sulphur content of fuel, Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser will conquer fuel problems and achieve much better burn, amount to combustion, less emissions and greater performance.
The product also consists of detergent dispersant elements to not only clean but completely distribute with a plan of fluid suspension elements.
Fuel including Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser will remain high quality, appropriate viscosity, sulphur controlled and safe storage for long periods. FluidMasters have centers such as banks and Hospitals with extract in their emergency situation generators that have been in these units for over twenty years. This also gives the operator a possibility to store fuel for long periods and therefore “hedge” against rising fuel costs. For long storage of fuel, we recommend that the Gen XI product be utilized at a mix rate of 30% more than recommended for normal use.
Beautiful fuel is vital for the well-being of your machinery. Western Australian-made Microlube fuel filters offer 100% efficiency at 1-micron rating. That’s as close to perfect as you are going to get. Bowser or fuel-tank fitting is normal with circulation rates of 100 or 150 litres per minute being basic. Consisting of a washable filter, they are very efficient and cost-effective.
Microlube Filters (distributed by FluidMasters) are a range of cost-effective, low-micron filters for the maximum removal of suspended particles and general contaminates in industrial fluids and fuel. When utilized as a primary filter on a diesel installation it makes sure maximum fuel condition and often removes expensive secondary filter blockage.
Microlube’s innovative fuel filtering systems are discovering increasing acceptance among mining and earthmoving contractors, transportation & oilfield operators, farmers and marine equipment owners.
Avoid damage to fuel pumps and injectors from small particles.
Microlube has built a range of quality filter-systems which are created to eliminate fungal particles, suspended particles, drop-out in diesel fuels and other particles such as sand, dust, sludge and excess water. The filters eliminate contaminants as small as one micron, using polyester needle-felt filter socks. Polyester needle felt is the most common material utilized for these bags and is available in micron scores of 1, 5, 100 and 150.
Microlube Technical Specifications.
Filtered contaminants are consisted of in the filter sock and remove the possibility of contamination, common with cartridge-type filters, (according to graphic below) which leave contaminants in the filter housing.
How to select a Microlube filter.
1. Select the unit size based upon the circulation rate changed for the viscosity of the fluid to be filtered.
2. Select the micron rating of the bag to be fitted.
3. Select Port Position.
4. Select the design # – eg filter 100L/min of diesel down to 1 micron with basic port, select design MFH 100.
FluidMasters do not have particular products for a machines air system, as there are no fluids involved, but it is vital to keep in mind that: Diesel and gas engines absorb literally hundreds of square meters of air to every litre of fuel burnt.
Tidy air filters result in a more effectively operating engine, leading to less effect on the environment. Lower costs are also the result of an efficient air system, not to mention less downtime and loss of revenues.
