There are 4 areas to be looked after and managed. All of these areas need to be addressed as recommended in all manufacturer’s equipment handbooks/manuals.
Services and products.
Oil- Choosing the right viscocity.
The most essential element of using the right oil for your equipment is to choose the proper oil viscosity. The instructions for choosing the right oil for your equipment and equipment are detailed in your manufacturer’s handbook/manual. If this is not available then use the Spec Charts below to choose the proper oil viscosity:.
American Petroleum Institute (API) Requirements.
Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) Charts.
If in doubt then please contact FluidMasters on 1300 302 949 and we will help you to pick the right oil for your equipment.
Our Oil System maintenance products include:.

CONOCO Oils and Lubes.
The very best oils and lubricants with the very best purification systems means the very best possible protection for your equipment.
Coolant and your engine.
The cooling system of any automobile is without a doubt the most essential component of the whole machine. It is a fact that between 60 and 80% of engine and transmission failures are brought on by cooling system “malfunctions”. This has been a huge cost to equipment owners and $1.5 billion dollars every year is credited to this failure across Australia.
This is a huge amount of cash thinking about the reality that it could be reduced drastically (probably by 75%) by the setup of the proper cooling system products.
FluidMasters ongoing dedication is to offer the best cooling system products that can be produced. The products FluidMasters market were established by the School of Chemical Engineering at the Western Australian Institute of Innovation (Curtin University) in the early 1980’s by Dr Richie and his team established a protectorate along with a flushing product.
FluidMasters have been marketing these products to their client base since 1982 and in that time the two most common and most destructive problems facing the operator as far as the cooling system is concerned are “Cavitation Erosion” (Pit holes that drill through the cylinder liners) and “Electrolysis” (the damage of alloys, i.e. cylinder heads etc). These two significant problems have ended up being a distant memory for our customers with not one circumstances being recorded in over 26 years.
The design of cooling systems today is as it was in Henry Ford’s time, with very little modifications. Water, a radiator and radiator pipes, fan belts, a radiator cap, and a water pump.
In engines today it is important to secure complex alloy heads and multi valve systems. An alloy head goes through “electrolysis”, the breaking down of alloy by electrical action of the engine. It is as though the engine is one big “battery”. An alloy head can cost anywhere from $1000.00 to $6000.00.
Frightening thought but a truth, and still they go unprotected as owners take the suggestions of the repairer or the garage owner who offers them the incorrect or inadequate product for their equipment’s cooling systems. Remember, the seller usually has little knowledge of the products he is offering.
So, why is it that FluidMasters can encourage you on the proper products for this protection? Due to the fact that, we make our products to perform as required by the manufacturer. Unfortunately though, MUCH OF the OEM engines cooling system protection just DO NOT WORK, or fail before the specified time of protection is reached.
Diesel Engine manufacturers have increased engine operating temperature levels to improve engine efficiency. This means proper cooling system maintenance is specifically essential. Getting too hot, overcooling, pitting, cavitation, disintegration, cracked heads, piston seizures, and plugged radiators are traditional cooling system failures.
Correct coolant selection and maintenance of the system is the owner’s choice and the right coolant is crucial to effective engine service life. In fact, coolant is just as essential as the quality of your fuel or lubricating oil.
FluidMasters provides cooling system preventative maintenance services and products to help you avoid the down-time & expensive effects of coolant-related engine/ transmission failures.
Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser and your engine.
Only extract fuels that meet required specifications will result in optimal engine efficiency and sturdiness. All equipment and equipment operators need tidy safe fuel if their equipment is to offer optimal efficiency.
Fuel residential or commercial properties and quality have a huge effect on engine operation. Contamination usually is presented during fuel handling, that is, transfer from the refinery to its final storage location might mean many fuel transfers and for that reason more opportunities of contamination.
Fuel quality can considerably impact the efficiency and maintenance of any diesel or petrol engine. Water can cause extreme sludge and likewise cause fuel pump damage in those fuel systems which use fuel oil to oil the pump.
Salt water is the best single source of fouling deposits and corrosion, specifically in high temperature areas of marine engines. Salt water can cause fuel injector and piston ring groove deposits and wear in fuel system plunger and barrel assemblies.
Gen XI gets rid of water from fuel, fuel tanks, fuel lines and retards fungal development. The presence of water from condensation, seal leakage, etc can accelerate the destruction of the fuel, specifically if high sulphur levels exist. In diesel, water enables microorganism development (eg: Hormoconis resinae and Cladisporium resinae). These “diesel bugs” feed upon the fuel and propagate in the water and this causes fuel destruction and filter/injector blockages.
Gen XI in fact rids the system of water by encapsulating the water which in turn is focused into tiny microscopic droplets through the unique chemicals in Gen XI. These droplets are then held in suspension within the fuel, performed the engines filter system and fuel pump where it is exhausted to the atmosphere as oxygen and hydrogen gasses. Too, any sulphur products are likewise encapsulated thus avoiding sulphurous acid damage to engine part. By neutralising the sulphur content of fuel, Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser will conquer fuel problems and attain much better burn, total combustion, less emissions and greater efficiency.
The product likewise contains detergent dispersant elements to not only tidy but completely disperse with an arrangement of fluid suspension elements.
Fuel including Gen XI Fuel Stabiliser will remain high quality, proper viscosity, sulphur managed and safe storage for extended periods. FluidMasters have centers such as banks and Hospitals with extract in their emergency generators that have been in these units for over 20 years. This likewise gives the operator an opportunity to store fuel for extended periods and for that reason “hedge” versus rising fuel costs. For long storage of fuel, we recommend that the Gen XI product be used at a mix rate of 30% more than recommended for typical use.
Pristine fuel is important for the wellness of your equipment. Western Australian-made Microlube fuel filters offer 100% efficiency at 1-micron score. That’s as near best as you are going to get. Bowser or fuel-tank fitting is typical with flow rates of 100 or 150 litres per minute being standard. Including a washable filter, they are incredibly efficient and cost-effective.
Microlube Filters (dispersed by FluidMasters) are a variety of cost-effective, low-micron filters for the optimal removal of suspended particles and basic contaminates in commercial fluids and fuel. When used as a main filter on a diesel setup it makes sure optimal fuel condition and frequently removes expensive secondary filter blockage.
Microlube’s ingenious fuel purification systems are finding increasing acceptance among mining and earthmoving contractors, transport & oilfield operators, farmers and marine equipment owners.
Avoid damage to fuel pumps and injectors from small particles.
Microlube has built a variety of quality filter-systems which are developed to remove fungal debris, suspended particles, drop-out in diesel fuels and other particles such as sand, dust, sludge and excess water. The filters remove contaminants as small as one micron, using polyester needle-felt filter socks. Polyester needle felt is the most common product used for these bags and is available in micron ratings of 1, 5, 100 and 150.
Microlube Technical Specifications.
Filtered contaminants are contained in the filter sock and remove the chance of contamination, common with cartridge-type filters, (as per graphic below) which leave contaminants in the filter housing.
How to choose a Microlube filter.
1. Select the unit size based upon the flow rate adjusted for the viscosity of the fluid to be filtered.
2. Select the micron score of the bag to be fitted.
3. Select Port Position.
4. Select the design # – eg filter 100L/min of diesel to 1 micron with standard port, select design MFH 100.
FluidMasters do not have particular products for a machines air system, as there are no fluids involved, but it is important to note that: Diesel and petrol engines absorb literally hundreds of square meters of air to every litre of fuel burnt.
Clean air filters result in a more efficiently operating engine, resulting in less influence on the environment. Lower costs are likewise the result of an efficient air system, not to mention less downtime and loss of earnings.
